“ It has never been easy for me to fit in and interact with others, but the mentors at Love Is made sure that I was included and participating. Even with my son, it’s very difficult for him to become comfortable with people but they included him and continued to interact with him despite that. The mentors at Love Is are so helpful in so many ways. They check up on you and offer guidance on matters of personal, spiritual, educational, or parenthood. Beyond just advice, they’re encouraging, helpful, and fun. I was able to establish friendships with other girls who were going through a similar experience as me and our kids became friends as well. Even though I’m not able to attend meetings anymore, I’m still in touch with the mentors and the friends I made. The meetings were the highlight of my month. I looked forward to them every month. My favorite things about these meetings each month were the crafts and the talks that we’d all have together. It really was a wonderful experience to be in an environment where everyone is so friendly and to be able to truly feel at ease around everyone.”- Cali
